Remediation Activities - What to Expect
Managing Impacts
While every effort will be made to reduce impacts on residents, businesses, and the local community, there may be times where disruptions are unavoidable.
Here’s what you can expect:
What You Might See, Hear, or Smell
- A Safety, Health and Environment Management Plan (SHEMP) and an Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) is in place to control noise, vibration, odour and dust
- Regular monitoring will ensure air quality remain within safe limits
- The site will be fenced, signed and secured to protect workers and the community
👀 What you’ll see | Equipment like excavators and trucks, fenced-off work zones, PPE-wearing workers |
👂 What you’ll hear | Machinery during working hours, occasional vehicle noise |
👃 What you’ll smell | Mild chemical or earthy odours during excavation, monitored closely under the Air Quality Management Plan |
We will notify residents of high-impact workdays in advance. Real-time alerts and updates will be provided via SMS, phone, or email for those who have signed up to receive updates.
