A joint customer and stakeholder engagement approach by Australian Gas Networks, AusNet Services and Multinet Gas Networks

As gas distribution businesses we are working together to understand what’s important to our stakeholders and our 2 million gas customers across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

We will engage extensively in a staged approach to develop our Final Plan that will deliver for Victorian customers into the future.

In Stage 1, we will engage with our customers and stakeholders to better understand customer and stakeholder needs and expectations, and consult on our proposed engagement approach, including: -

  • Publishing our draft engagement plan for consultation, and distribute to all our key stakeholders inviting feedback
  • Meet with key stakeholders one-on-one to discuss the key issues and facilitate feedback
  • Establish our Victorian Gas Networks Stakeholder Reference Group (VGNSR) and continue to meet with our Retailer Reference Group
  • Summarise feedback in our report Customers are at the Centre of our Planning: Stage 1 Stakeholder Engagement Report.

You will find the reports in the Resources section.

  • AGN is currently preparing a Draft Plan setting out our expenditure proposal and price path for the five-year period July 2023 - June 2028. We are required to submit our Draft Plan to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) by no later than 1 July 2022.

In developing our proposal, we are keen to ensure that our business plan reflects the long-term interests of all customers that are connected to our network. To assist with this we are seeking your input into both the expected demand for natural gas with regards to your business and the services that we will provide over the five-year term of our business plan.

Your responses should relate to the Connection Site and Meter Installation Reference Number (MIRN) identified in the recent email you would have received from us (with the link to this survey).

For any queries, please contact Will Chivell on 0450 091 031 or Phil Jones on 0429 675 586.
