We are currently planning our future investment priorities for the South Australian Gas distribution network to 2026.

Our Draft Plan has been released - provide your feedback on our proposals by taking the Draft Plan Survey or join the discussion on our online customer forum below .

More than 450,000 South Australian homes and businesses rely on us to deliver gas safely and reliably every day. In South Australia, we own, operate and maintain the gas distribution network.

Every five years, we submit a plan to our economic regulator, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). We are currently planning our future investment priorities for the South Australian gas distribution network to 2026.

Our SA Reference Group members help guide development of our future plans and provide insights into issues of importance. We value feedback and invite you to keep up to date or register/sign in to have a say and help shape our plans to ensure we deliver for current and future customers.

    Stage 1 - Strategy and Research (Now complete)

    This is a research stage to better understand customer and stakeholder needs and expectations, and consult on our proposed engagement approach.

    In April 2019 we published and distributed Customers are a the Centre of our Planning: Draft Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Plan for consultation.

    We asked the following engagement questions :-

    • What are the most important aspects of our services?
    • What issues should we be considering in our future planning?
    • What aspects of our future plans would you like to engage on?


    As part of Stage 1, we:-

    Stage 1 - Strategy and Research (Now complete)

    This is a research stage to better understand customer and stakeholder needs and expectations, and consult on our proposed engagement approach.

    • Published our draft engagement plan publically for consultation, and distributed to all key stakeholders inviting feedback
    • Met with key stakeholders one-on-one to discuss the key issues and facilitate feedback
    • Engaged with our South Australian Stakeholder Reference Group and Retailer Reference Group

    In Stage 2 we delivered a series of customer and stakeholder engagement activities in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia to inform development of our Draft Plan.

    As part of Stage 2, we:-

    • Met regularly with our South Australian Stakeholder Reference Group and Retailer Reference Group
    • Held a series of deliberative customer workshops across metropolitan and regional South Australia to inform our Draft Plan. Key customer segments we consulted with included residential, business, metropolitan, regional and multicultural communities.

    Stage 3 - Consultation on our Draft Plan (Open February 2020)

    Our Draft Plan sets out our plans for our South Australian natural gas distribution network for the five year period commencing July 2021 to June 2026. Customer and stakeholder engagement has underpinned the development of this Draft Plan, putting customers at the centre of our planning.

    This Draft Plan is an important part of our stakeholder engagement program and outlines the feedback we have received from customers and stakeholders and our proposals for our next Access Arrangement period.

    Stage 3 - Consultation on our Draft Plan (Open February 2020)

    Our Draft Plan sets out our plans for our South Australian natural gas distribution network for the five year period commencing July 2021 to June 2026. Customer and stakeholder engagement has underpinned the development of this Draft Plan, putting customers at the centre of our planning.

    This Draft Plan is an important part of our stakeholder engagement program and outlines the feedback we have received from customers and stakeholders and our proposals for our next Access Arrangement period.

    We encourage customers and stakeholders to provide feedback on this Draft Plan by completing the survey or joining the conversation forum.

    Customer and stakeholder feedback from Stage 3 will be used to develop our Final Plan.

    As part of Stage 4, we will:-

    • Continue to engage with our South Australian Stakeholder Reference Group and Retailer Reference Group to ensure our plans deliver for current and future customers
    • Hold one-on-one stakeholder meetings to ensure we have closed out on all issues/ feedback raised during the engagement process
    • Publish a summary report of customer and stakeholder feedback and input across all stages of our engagement program


    In June 2020 we will lodge our Final Plan with the AER.


    Stage 4 - Refinement and Ongoing Engagement

    Customer and stakeholder feedback from Stage 3 will be used to develop our Final Plan.

    As part of Stage 4, we will:-
